Catalytic oxidation of glucose over highly stable AuxPdy NPs immobilised on ceria nanorods
نویسندگان
چکیده
The catalytic performance of AuxPdy nanoparticles prepared by colloidal synthesis and immobilised on ceria nanorods (Ce-NR) in the selective oxidation glucose has been studied under initially basic relatively mild conditions. Activity was found to be strongly dependent bimetallic composition with Au-rich catalysts being more active oxidation. Catalyst recycling revealed negligible deactivation or metal loss from leaching, continuing high selectivity gluconic acid (≥97.7%). Defects Ce-NR surface appear serve as anchoring sites for Au-Pd NPs giving rise small very stable NPs.

متن کاملStudy on the CO Oxidation over Ceria-Based Nanocatalysts.
A series of ceria nanocatalysts have been prepared to study the structure dependency of the CO oxidation reaction. The ceria samples with well-defined nanostructures (nanocubes/Ce-NC and nanorods/Ce-NR) have been prepared using the hydrothermal method. Mesoporous ceria (Ce-MES) and ceria synthesized with solution combustion technique (Ce-SCS) have also been prepared for comparison. The lowest C...
متن کاملSelective hydrogenation of nitroaromatics by ceria nanorods.
Ceria (CeO2) nanorods with well-defined surface planes can be synthesized and utilized for the hydrogenation of nitroaromatics. The CeO2 nanorods containing a {110} plane can efficiently and selectively catalyse the hydrogenation of nitroaromatics with N2H4 as a reducing agent, while nano-ceria with a {100} or {111} plane shows poor performance for the reaction.
متن کاملCatalytic performance of ceria nanorods in liquid-phase oxidations of hydrocarbons with tert-butyl hydroperoxide.
The CeO2 nanorods (CeNR) promote the oxidation of ethylbenzene (PhEt) and cyclohexene with t-BuOOH, at temperatures as low as 55 degrees C. For both substrates the saturated C-H bonds are preferentially activated over the unsaturated ones. The catalyst seems fairly stable towards leaching phenomena. The liquid-phase oxidation catalysis may be associated with the Ce3+/Ce4+ inter-conversion in th...
